Daniel Stein Kokin, a fellow at the Shalem Center for the 2005-6 academic year, is currently finishing his dissertation, “The Hebrew Question in the Italian Renaissance: Linguistic, Cultural, and Mystical Perspectives,” in the Department of History at Harvard University. He has presented papers on Christian Hebraism for the Renaissance Society of America and the Association for Jewish Studies, and is currently at work on an article examining Machiavelli’s interpretation of Moses as a political leader.
